Pam's Picks: A Little Bit of Everything

I'm running a bit late on my Picks of the week.  I spent a wonderful weekend in NC with my family, my parents and my brother's family.  We shared lots of laughs and lots of coffee.  Now it is back to work time.  Here are my picks from around the web from the past week or so.



Kristen Kuchar at Money Crashers wrote about the top 5 money mistakes to avoid in college.  My daughter will start college this year so this article definitely caught my eye.

One Cent at a Time gave us the 5 steps to introduce the concept of credit  to your teen.

Brian Page on Mint.com discussed 3 money resolutions that parents can share with their children.  Not only is Brian a father of three, he is also an award winning Financial Literacy teacher in Ohio.

Flexo, at Consumerism Commentary, tackled the debate over how to solve the financial literacy problem.  Is it up to the parents or to the schools?

Girls Just Wanna Have Funds gave us her take on the Suze Orman Prepaid Debit Card.

The Baltimore Sun ran an article about whether giving your child an allowance will make them smarter about finances.

Dr. Stock gave a great introductory lesson on diversification in the stock market.
