Pam's Picks: Student Loans, Credit Cards and Wisdom from Grandpa

Here are some of my favorite articles that I ran across recently.  You will see that there is a wide range of topics, from student loans to credit cards to wisdom from a Grandfather.

The interest rate on federal student loans is set to double on July 1st.    Investopedia and Mint.com both recently tackled this subject and both articles were very comprehensive.

Ever wondered what you would do with $100,000?  IHeartBudgets shared a very candid and personal account in How I Blew Through $100,000 Before I Turned 21.

I often wonder about the "right" age to give a teen a credit card and have been keeping notes on my thoughts for a future blog post.  Jason Steele on Money Talk News covered this topic extremely well in 5 Ways to Teach Your Child about Credit Cards.

Sometimes the truth is hard to hear.  Kerry on SquawkFox lays it all on the line in The Real Reason You're Broke.  There's no sugar coating here, folks!

And, finally, in honor of Father's Day...Michelle Singletary wrote a great summary of advice from a grandfather on the Washington Post website.  She highlighted advice that was written by John D. Spooner in his book, No One Ever Told Us That:  Money and Life Letters to my Grandchildren.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's and Grandpa's.
Happy Father's Day!
